Privacy-first product development for creators

A professional privacy workflow makes it easier to move a project forward without asking for sensitive details before there is a clear reason and a defined handling process.

Use progressive disclosure

At the first enquiry stage, a product category, goal, budget range, quantity range, and preferred contact channel are usually enough to assess a sensible next step. Sensitive materials, personal identity details, source files, or body-cast information should only be requested when the project route and the reason for collection are clear.

Make the NDA point explicit

Creators should be able to understand when an NDA can be requested, whether it applies before sensitive material is shared, and what project information can be discussed before a formal agreement. The answer should reflect the actual process and contract—not a generic promise.

Ask four practical data questions

Before sharing sensitive information, request written clarity on access, purpose, retention, and deletion: who can access it; why it is required; how long it will be retained; and how deletion or return can be confirmed. For body-cast or identifiable source materials, document consent and handling scope separately.

  • Use an alias until a legal name is operationally required.
  • Share only the minimum detail needed for the current decision.
  • Request the relevant agreement before sending sensitive files.
  • Keep a written record of approvals, delivery, and any deletion request.

Ready when your brief is

Turn the guide into a project conversation.

Tell us what you are considering, what is essential to your brand, and what you would like to validate next. Sensitive information can stay for the appropriate project stage.
